Honestly, the battle should end in a tie, but frankly any result is fine, since at this point its clear that this is Ash's last season as an mc. Can't really expect the fanbase to accept him getting his normal region-reset after stomping over three region champions (even if one of them was iris), especially since before gen 8 it was generally accepted that Cynthia was the most powerful trainer unless you count the cheater Tobias.

I mean since Tobias was never mentioned ever again, it should mean that Cynthia curb-stomped him flat for trying to cheat his way and truly showed him true strength. So yeah, pretty sure even with Tobias in the equation, Cynthia probably defeated him so he won't be heard ever again.

Ahh what an amazing battle I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! And wow Togekiss was strong. The amount of hits it took before going down, I did not expect it to get up so many times! What a tank!

And that hand to hand combat scene between Lucario and Garchomp was brutal and amazing to watch. I loved this battle so much I’m so happy Ash won! If anyone has complained that Ash isn’t truly a champion well he definitely is now, and he’s more than that, he’s a “champion killer” now lmao

I also loved team rocket in this episode XD brat boy did it!

Togekiss have quite a lot HP to begin with and Dynamax double the HP, that's why it such a monster here

Daimax Super Tank Togekiss, and the MEGA TROLL first gen moves and combos like destiny bond and hypnosis + dreameater, only thing that was missing was toxin + protect.....XD
( by the way my pride and joy in gen 2 was a smogmog with the moves:Toxin,Protect,Sludge bomb and Explosion......)

After 3 episodes, finally he win! Truly the best match in this series, possibly one of the best match in all Pokemon series.

Shirona/Cynthia really show us a match befitting a champion. I am not even mad she lost although she is my favorite. I just don't want to see her team getting pummeled by a grass gorilla. The only hope to beat Dande is your main character plot armour Satoshi.

After this Ash better beat Leon. Ngl I'll be real salty if the writers pull the same bs they do every season and make him lose. But seeing how we getting Scarlet/Violet region makes me believe they'll force a loss on him just to travel again.... rinse & repeat ugh

Actually doubt that they'll make him travel again even if he lost. Currently, at worst, he is LITERALLY the second strongest trainer in the world. I doubt that even the writers of pokemon would be able to justify their normal Ash region reset after that. My assumption is that this is Ash's last season as main protagonist, which is fine as long as they don't replace him with GOD DAMN GO!!!

I also believe that it barely makes sense to keep Ash as protag after Journeys, especially thinking about the open-world aspects of the gen 9 games it is a good time to change up the anime (although Journeys already did that but its ending at some point).
